Term 1 2026 Courses

Old Testament

Pastor Shaun Hansen is teaching the first part of Old Testament from the book “Encountering the Old Testament”. Get a deeper understanding of each book of the Old Testament. 

Hermeneutics

Hermeneutics is a course on the study of the interpretation of Scripture led by Erica Lucha. This is a practical course for those looking to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible.

World Cults & Religion

Pastor Melissa O’Brien will be lecturing in our World Cults & Religion course. The book being used is “Counterfeits of Christianity (#01 in World Religion & Cults Series)”. 

Term 2 2026 Courses

Old Testament 2

Old Testament Part 2 is the final part of Old Testament led by Pastor Shaun Hansen. He is teaching from the “Encountering the New Testament” book. Best case scenario is to take both parts 1 and 2 of the Old Testament Course. 

Theology 1

Erica Lucha will be lecturing on Theology from the book “Everyone’s a Theologian”. This is a great course for a depth of understanding of the study of God. 

Evangelism & Outreach

Pastor Danny O’Brien is in charge of our Evangelism & Outreach course. He will impart from his extensive experience and background. Pastor Danny is our Community & Outreach Pastor.

Field Ministry

For the practical component of the school, each student will choose a ministry to actively serve in for a couple of hours a week during the school term.

 

Certificate of Completion

Students will graduate with a Certificate of Completion for each year of Dunamis School of Ministries – Year 1 and Year 2. As we are wanting to provide affordable studies this is not an accredited school. The Certificates of Completion are recognised by other ministries and churches.

Courses are pass/fail with the following three requirements for completion.

100% attendance – Classes will be recorded and accessible online. (If you miss class due to being sick, for instance, you can catch up by watching the content online.)

2

Quizzes – Weekly quizzes will be given in each class by the lecturer.

3

Written or Oral Assignment – A final assignment per class due at the end of the term.
