Term 3 2025 Courses

New Testament

Pastor Shaun Hansen is teaching the first part of New Testament from the book “Encountering the New Testament” the newest edition. Get a deeper understanding of each book of the New Testament. 

Missiology

Missiology is a course on the study of Missions led by Pastor Josiah Hansen. This is a practical course for those looking to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of Missions locally and on the world. He has led our church’s most recent missions trips.

Church Leadership

Pastor Jake O’Brien is in charge of our Church Leadership course. The book he has chosen is “Lead Like It Matters” by Craig Groeschel. Pastor Jake is currently our Youth and Young Adults Pastor. 

Term 4 2025 Courses

New Testament Part 2

New Testament Part 2 is the final part of New Testament led by Pastor Shaun Hansen. He is using the “Encountering the New Testament” the newest edition. Best case scenario is to take both parts 1 and 2 of the New Testament Course. 

Christian Ethics

Dr. Ian Henderson will be lecturing on Christian Ethics. He provides opportunities to debate opposite sides of perspectives which can lead to more understanding and depth. 

God’s Attributes

Pastor Melissa O’Brien is in charge of our God’s Attributes course. The book she has chosen is “Knowledge of the Holy” by A. W. Tozer. Knowing God more is furthered by learning more about His attributes.

Field Ministry

For the practical component of the school, each student will choose a ministry to actively serve in for a couple of hours a week during the school term.

 

Certificate of Completion

Students will graduate with a Certificate of Completion for each year of Dunamis School of Ministries – Year 1 and Year 2. As we are wanting to provide affordable studies this is not an accredited school. The Certificates of Completion are recognised by other ministries and churches.

Courses are pass/fail with the following three requirements for completion.

100% attendance – Classes will be recorded and accessible online. (If you miss class due to being sick, for instance, you can catch up by watching the content online.)

2

Quizzes – Weekly quizzes will be given in each class by the lecturer.

3

Written or Oral Assignment – A final assignment per class due at the end of the term.
